Imagine Durban Project & eThekwini Municipality - Energy Efficiency Guidelines
EnviroMinds were appointed as the energy consultants to develop a
set of residential energy efficiency guidelines as well as the commercial energy
efficiency guidelines for the Imagine Durban Project and eThekwini Municipality.
These documents have been completed and will soon be available
as electronic downloads from the Imagine Durban website. The documents contain
actual case studies of persons and organisations that have successfully saved
energy, water and reduced the amount of associated greenhouse gas emissions. In
addition, there are many tips and worked examples which should be extremely useful
for homeowners through to large industrial companies looking to save energy and
operate more sustainably.

EnviroMinds has completed energy audits of Conservation Corporation Africa’s (CCA) eight lodges in Tanzania.
CCA now has an energy consumption, as well as the associated environmental impact, baseline from which they can improve.
CCA is hoping, wherever feasible, to replace fossil fuel technologies with cleaner, more environmentally friendly technologies. By comparing their baseline audit with future audits they will be able to monitor their progress.
GD2010 Project and eThekwini Municipality – Green Building Guidelines
EnviroMinds were appointed as the consultants to develop a set
of green building guidelines for the Greening Durban 2010 Project and eThekwini
Municipality.
The document has been completed and will soon be available as
an electronic download from the eThekwini Municipality’s Environmental Management
Department website.
